SlyNumber focuses on call privacy. WIGGWIGG uses zero-knowledge encryption for identity data: passwords, contacts, and personal details are encrypted on your device. Message and voicemail content protected by our current method is sealed on Canadian servers to the account communication key; a supported client opens it after sign-in and unlock. A small set retained from the private beta remains readable under our older server-side encryption until a separate re-sealing process.
SlyNumber is a US company. WIGGWIGG is built in Quebec, with full English and French support. WIGGWIGG INC. is subject to Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA); what we store is in Canada. Telephone traffic still crosses our US carrier, as it does for any phone service.
