APhone spreads across US, Canada, and UK. WIGGWIGG focuses on Canadian numbers with local area codes, paired with identity management designed for how Canadians actually use second numbers.
APhone stores your account data on their servers in readable form. WIGGWIGG uses zero-knowledge encryption for identity data: passwords, contacts, and personal details are encrypted on your device. Message and voicemail content protected by our current method is sealed on Canadian servers to the account communication key; a supported client opens it after sign-in and unlock. A small set retained from the private beta remains readable under our older server-side encryption until a separate re-sealing process.
APhone is mobile-only. WIGGWIGG has a full web app, so you can make calls from your laptop, manage passwords from any browser, and text without your phone.
