By that date, we will tell you where things stand, good news or not. It is not a launch date.

What does not work yet

You cannot call or send messages abroad with WIGGWIGG yet.

What stays the same

Calls and messages received on your Canadian number count like any other call or message you receive, wherever the sender is.

Why

Our phone carrier is actively working on making calls and texts abroad possible from our Canadian numbers, and the final say will be theirs, not ours.

The CRTC licence for basic international telecommunications services (the BITS licence) came through on July 6, 2026. On its own, it does not make calling and texting abroad available.

  1. Update,

Calling and texting abroad are not available yet. Our phone carrier is actively working on making that traffic possible from our numbers, but the answer is not ours to give. We will report back by November 2, 2026, whether the answer is yes or no.

  2. Update,

Our pages presented international calls and texts as available. They are not yet, and the pages now say so plainly. We will report back by 5 October 2026, whether the answer is yes or no.

Per-destination rates stay published so you can plan. See international rates
