Delete Your Account

We respect your right to leave. Here's how to delete your WIGGWIGG account and what happens to your data.

How to Delete Your Account

Account deletion is available directly in the app. No need to contact support.

  1. 1

    Open Settings

Log in to your WIGGWIGG account and navigate to Settings.

  2. 2

    Go to Privacy & Data

In Settings, select the Privacy & Data section.

  3. 3

    Delete Account

Scroll to Delete Account. The app will guide you through any necessary steps, such as cancelling subscriptions or releasing phone numbers, then confirm by entering your Account ID.

30-Day Grace Period

After requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time, you can cancel the deletion by logging back in. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Changed your mind? Simply log back in during the grace period to restore your account.

What Gets Permanently Deleted

After the 30-day grace period, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed:

  • All identities and associated personal information

  • Password vault data

  • Call logs and SMS/MMS history

  • Voicemails and audio recordings

  • Phone numbers (released back to the pool)

  • Contacts and shared contact data

  • Payment methods

  • Security credentials (passkeys, two-factor authentication)

  • Support tickets and attachments

  • Achievements and credits

  • User preferences and security settings

  • All encrypted data and files stored on our servers

What We Retain

Required by Canadian tax law and compliance:

  • Invoices and billing records (7 years, tax law)

  • Transaction amounts, dates, and payment method type only

  • Security audit logs (compliance)

No personal identity data, communications, or encrypted content is retained.

Export Your Data First

We recommend exporting your data before initiating account deletion. Once the 30-day grace period expires, we cannot recover any of your data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I undo the deletion?

Yes, during the 30-day grace period. Simply log back in with your Account ID and password. Your account and all data will be fully restored. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

What happens to my phone numbers?

Your phone numbers must be released before deletion can proceed. The app guides you through this step. Once released, the numbers return to the available pool and may be assigned to someone else.

Do I need to cancel my subscriptions first?

The app will check for active subscriptions, outstanding balances, and active phone numbers before allowing deletion. It guides you through resolving each one.

Why do you keep billing records for 7 years?

Canadian tax law requires businesses to retain financial records for a minimum of 7 years. These records contain only transaction amounts, dates, and payment method type. They contain no personal identity data, communications, or encrypted content.

Can I request deletion by email?

No. For your security, account deletion is only available through the app after authentication. This prevents unauthorized deletion of your account. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data to initiate the process.
